Do they want the real story?

I doubt it, but here it is anyway.
Beekeeping is a very interesting hobby. A shockingly expensive hobby here on Vancouver Island. After my inital investment of about $1k per hive (bees + boxes) I quickly realized I would never break even on honey sales. I was never in this for the $, but drowning in debt because I'm curious and love learning is not sustainable.

I've been a public school teacher for 17 years this year and I decided to take my two favourite things and combine them. Beekeeping and Education. 

I found a little niche market. I'm passionate about kids, education, growing our sustainability and bees. I started doing little presentations at my kids daycares and schools. Soon I was having requests from all over Nanaimo and Oceanside to present to their kids. I decided to launch rosebay bees a few years ago and keep building my business to fit into my life. I'm a TTOC, a maker, a gardener, a volunteer, a mom, a wife and I needed something to fit into my life.
